Mudtown to premiere on U&alibi from 20th August

Severn Screen’s latest television series, Mudtown, will launch on U&alibi at 9pm, Wednesday 20th August with all episodes available on demand on Sky, NOW and Virgin Media.

Mudtown follows Claire Lewis Jones (Erin Richards), a respected local magistrate whose troubled past is about to resurface with devastating consequences. The drama unfolds as the different facets of Claire’s existence; her court, family and past life, collide forcing her to choose between upholding the law or protecting her family.

At the heart of Claire’s troubles is local gangster Saint Pete (Tom Cullen). Smart, intelligent and atypical as the local mobster – will he prove to be Claire’s saviour or her downfall?

Filmed back-to-back in both Welsh and English, U&alibi’s English language premiere follows the Welsh language transmission of Ar y Ffin on S4C in December 2024.

Co-commissioned by UKTV for U&alibi, S4C and All3 Media International, the series is set and was filmed in and around Newport, Wales. Mudtown is written by Hannah Daniel and Georgia Lee.

All3Media International handle distribution of the series outside the UK.
